The Uyghur Studies Initiative is a project that I am proud to have served as developer and now, once again, as digital content editor. With support from the Central Asia Program at George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, the Uyghur Studies Initiative serves as a clearinghouse for academic news, events, and publications related to the study of Uyghur people and their homeland. After a year-long hiatus, I have returned to the project to maintain it as an online space where researchers meet to share information – and where those with a research curiosity can come to find information about the language, arts, culture, past and present this fascinating corner of the world.
